EU Prize for Literature

12 emerging European authors were awarded the EU Prize for Literature this week in Brussels. The prize is being awarded for 3 consecutive years (2009 being the first) to authors from the 34 countries participating in the EU Culture Programme. This year’s winners come from Austria, Croatia, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia and Sweden.
