Arles: Le 16

Le 16 has a small covered terrace outside and an inside dining room decorated "à la Provençale".

Who to take?
Friends and family

Food type/quality: Provençal food with a creative twist. We had coquilles St. Jacques à l'aigre douce, prefectly cooked with a dash of chives, vinegar balsamico, fresh cream and a drop of olive oil. They were served with wild brown rice from the Camargue, chopped tomatoes, carrots, sweet peas and sauteed courgettes. We also had a magret de canard with raspberry vinegar, served with gratin Dauphinois, carrots, sweet peas and sauteed courgettes. Desert was a divine Tarte Tatin presented with a dash of apricot and raspberry puree as well as some vanilla sauce.

Value for money: The price was extremely reasonable for the "haute saison" with three-course menus for 20€ and two-course daily menus for 14€.

Service: Kind and quick.

You have to reserve your table in advance.
